No, I've done it with a cut down image via the Gargoyle interface. It did work for 1.5.9, I assume it will work for 1.5.10. You just "upgrade" to the stock firmware but it's not the stock from TP-Link, it's that file but a first section of the file cut off, so it's smaller.

I Reverted from Openwrt Back to original Firmware with a cutted firmware,this is a must, use a cutted firmware to avoid bricks.
I suppose that Gargoyle the same basis as Openwrt is and this way i can revert back using the same method using the cutted firmware?

Yes this method works with Openwrt should work on Gargoyle too.
So the difference betwen Gargoyle and Openwrt is basically some improvements and another GUI ?

A good GUI though I think there are some patches here and there, it's not just the overlayed gui, from memory.
