I installed gargoyle_1.5.10-wrt54g-squashfs.bin on my WRT54G v3, and setup went just fine. I was successfully able to switch over from dd-wrt, logged in via the web interface, and got the router switched over into bridge mode. However, things broke as soon as I switched the Bridge IP from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.0.7. (I think one thing I did wrong was put it in the same range as the gateway which has an IP range of 192.168.0.2 -> 192.168.0.100. Maybe I should have done 192.168.1.101?)
The WRT54G rebooted after switching IPs, but when it came up there was immediately a fast flashing power light. I couldn't log into the web interface. When I tried to reboot it again by unplugging it since the reset button wouldn't work I noticed that it couldn't be pinged for the first 30 seconds until the orange Linksys logo LED came on. After that I could ping 192.168.0.7, but telnet and ssh wouldn't respond. I tried rebooting again and issued a tftp command (using OS X) the very second the router responded to pings, but the connection timed out each time.
Is there anything else I can do to get the router back up and running?

I owe you big time! Holding the reset button down before powering up until the DMZ light comes on allowed me to telnet in and restore the default settings. I'm back up and running again.
