Trouble upgrading firmware?

I've got a garoyle firmware installed on my WNDR3400v2 but i'm having some issues, and im looking to upgrade it to a newer gargoyle firmware version,

But i got a problem

It just sits on upgrading > please wait........

I've downloaded this one

gargoyle_1.5.10-ar71xx-generic-alfa-ap96-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin

I then went to: System > Update Firmware > Choose File

I selected the file i downloaded and it's just sitting on upgrading please wait. Nothing is being uplaoded or anything?

How do i update it?

You're not delusional - I have seen the same issue.

It's a browser/haserl problem. haserl is responsible for uploading files to the router. It seems to ignore my Safari 5 browser, and gets along better with my Firefox 22 & 23.

Try a different browser.

Well i tried it with Firefox v23 it does the same thing"Upgrading, Please wait"

What file do i actually have to download for the wndr3700v2?

Not sure what current gargoyle version i have but i flashed it about 2-3 years ago

search for 'wndr3700v2'. You are upgrading - find the 'sysupgrade' file. Don't preserve settings.

Ahh yes! That one has actually worked and now it's updated!

I was using the first link for a generic one lol.. So it would explain why it didn't work at all..
