Gargoyle Restrictions

Post by GarageMan »

Hi.

The Restrictions Guide is missing from the documentation so could someone please tell me if the "Exceptions (White List)" are superior to any rule set-up under "Access Restrictions"?

Context: I have created a rule blocking all access for the kid's devices during homework time.
Then, as a test, I put in Wikipedia as an Exception. Trouble is that is also blocked.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Check you have a connection to a DNS server. If that is blocked............

Thanks for your reply ispyisail.

I went to the Status->Overview webpage and the WAN DNS Server(s) entry had 2 IP addresses displayed. Is that what you meant for me to check?

If that is as it should be, what else would you advise?

Cheers.
