Enabling QoS changes Quota settings

Post by pj_bisset »

I am running v1.5.9 on a NETGEAR NDR3700v2. I set up a quota for one of the PCs so that it throttled the available bandwidth for both upload and download with the reset happening each night at 11pm.

That worked fine.

Then I decided to activate QoS and enabled both upload and download with the available speeds entered on both pages.

Doing this then changed the settings on the Quota page in a drastic way! It was changed to block all net access at 11pm.

Is this expected behaviour? The available options on the Quota page have now changed to just Throttle and Stop, so is it possible to have the system map the old pre-QoS Quota options to the new QoS ones rather than just going to Stop All? I haven't tested other combinations of this sequence and values.

Thanks

Peter

The Quota page is different and has more and different options when QoS is enabled.

If you are going to use QoS you should enable it before you configure quotas to prevent having to reconfigure.
