use Android phone as 3G modem

Post by sergo »

I was wondering if Gargoyle supports using a phone (HTC Android) as
3G modem?
And what mode for USB tethering should be used (Windows or Mac)?

I updated firmware to 1.5.9 but when I plug a phone with USB tethering mode on I don't see 3G option in connection.

tried to install rndis package error
Is Gargoyle compatible with openwrt packages?

I suggest you build your own ROM to solve this problem.
Gargoyle is based on Openwrt and will run Openwrt packages but only if the package you are downloading have the matching kernel version, as the error message says.

PM me if you need to buy Gargoyle router in Australia/NZ, willing to pay me to help you on your Gargoyle configurations or build custom configured ROM with pre-installed app or try to fix your bricked router. Yes, I am looking for job/work.
