original firmware

Post by clocky »

i have an TP-LINK WDR 4300 routr and installed gargoyle 1.5.9 but i'm having some issue with it (wifi disconnects , no ipv6) and planing to return the default TP-LINK firmware.

Can i just take the bin from the official release and use it in gargoyle update fw feature to return the original FW?

I've read the documentation but it's not very clear : it sais i need a special package as it does not work with the firmware provided by the manufacturer ? How can i get back to this :http://www.tp-link.com/lk/support/downl ... n=V1#tbl_j

thanks for the answer but i could not understand this part :

"Cut the first 0x20200 (that is 131,584 = 257*512) Bytes from original firmware: (1*512 Vendor-info + 256*512 U-Boot)"

Could someone explain to me what i actually have to do to modify that original firmware?

// LE : Nevermind , solved it.
