Random reboots on WR1043-ND

Post by Madord »

Hey all,

I am having an issue where my router will restart randomly. Basically my setup is Modem connected to a WR-1043ND (running gargoyle 1.5.8 - We'll call this AccessPoint). This router supplies the wifi network for out house. AccessPoint is connected to another WR1043-ND via an Ethernet over Power system (also running gargoyle 1.5.8).

So basically the router which acts as the wifi network supplier will randomly restart. I have tried switching the routers but still have the same issue. The router isn't losing power or anything like that.

any thoughts?
Cheers

Apparently you need to 1.5.4.

Don't try and preserve settings like I did or you'll end up with a brick

For the WR1043-ND:
WARNING: v1.10 supports only Attitude Adjustment 12.09-rc1 or above. Backfire 10.03.1 causes a BRICK!!

I'm a newbie and am unsure if V1.5.4 is Backfire based or not. V1.5.6 IS Backfire based and bricked my router. Verify your router firmware and if V1.5.4 is Backfire based or not before continuing.

I'm currently running V1.5.9 with no issues. BUT I do not have the configuration you have.

Good Luck :)
