Bad upgrade bricked(?) rooter

Post by eforce »

I downgraded from 1.5.8 to 1.5.4 with the preserve settings option ticked, didn't know this was a bad thing to do until afterwards.

Trying to login to the rooter keeps giving my "Invalid Password" even when trying default "password" and my original password.

How do I get this back to 1.5.4 or 1.5.9 or anything? :?

(My router is TP-Link 1043ND).

Thanks,

eforce

I don't get the failsafe message, tried tapping the QSS button for 1 minutes a few times, no message or system light blink and telnet couldn't connect.

:(

Any ideas?

When I plug my PC into the WAN port it says there is no ethernet connection and the WAN light is off on the router, if I plug it into a LAN port, it works (but can't do the failsafe thing).
