1043ND Wan Address issue

Post by razorpl »

Hi there.
Sometimes WAN adress of my 1043ND becomes a local ip of second subnet like: 192.168.1.2, this subnet is used for modem access. i have to reset router to get back normal wan adress. How to fix that issue?

This issue should resolve itself once the modem establishes the PPPoE link. Then it will create a new device 'pppoe-wan' and apply the public IP address there.

Check ifconfig for this new device and logread for any error messages.

Did you wait long enough for the modem to sync and get the WAN address?
