Hi,
I set up my router so that it recieves internet from a nearby wireless network, then it shares this through eternet. I also want it to be shared through wireless (so my router can act as an amplifier of sorts), but when trying to connect to my router through wireless there seems to be no dhcp response.
There is, however, when using ethernet.
Any thoughts?
No DHCP on wireless network?

Re: No DHCP on wireless network?
After browsing the forums, it seems to be the exact same problem as described here: http://www.gargoyle-router.com/phpbb/vi ... ?f=6&t=181
Any fix around? Because it's dating back to June
Edit: using encryption does not solve the problem here.

Re: No DHCP on wireless network?
This problem is being worked on... There's a whole huge thread on it.
http://www.gargoyle-router.com/phpbb/vi ... ?f=6&t=206
See this thread
Check near the end of the thread, there are some test builds you
can try out that might work for you, mostly Atheros builds.
Look on Page 6 - build 15464 - it's the Atheros build only though.
The 1 problem with those builds, they don't have the current QoS,
bandwidth monitoring, etc fixes, but the AP+Client should work.

Re: No DHCP on wireless network?
The latest versions of Gargoyle include a hack that should make it work (but not perfectly). They use older versions of madwifi that have been confirmed to work, but these versions have a few other more minor issues (e.g. scanning for available networks is less sensitive).
The bug is still considered "open" as this is really just a hack, and I'd like to get to the root of the problem. However the latest versions should work for what you want. What version are you running?

Re: No DHCP on wireless network?
Hm, I was running 1.0.8 but yesterday I upgraded to 1.0.10 and it didn't seem to fix the problem (encrypted or not).
As for those fixes, my router is a linksys WRT54GL. Are there any Broadcom builds available that will fix this?
