How can I install Gargoyle in a DD-WRT microbootloader?

I installed the firmware, but the bootloader stays in loop.

IF you were using the newer version of DD-WRT, it has just the linux.bin file you load. You would probably need to change your fconfig settings. Try and use the Fon-Flash utility thats in the download section and flash the Atheros chipset version.

I did that (installed a atheros version of gargoyle).
but the device did not boot the firmware.
leds blinking fast (port 4 to port wan) like looping.
and keeps doing that untill I press reset button.

I would reload fresh.

fis init -f

Do that command from the redboot command line
It takes about 1-2 minutes and completely erases nvram

Then reload the 2 atheros files:

gargoyle_1.0.10-atheros-root.squashfs
gargoyle_1.0.10-atheros-vmlinux.lzma

and make sure the fconfig has vmlinux.bin.l7 and not linux
