Ooma and QOS with wireless disabled

Hello.

I am thinking about buying a Gargoyle Home Router from the shop, but i have a couple questions.

I would be buying it for its advanced QOS functions. I am using an Ooma Telo for my phone service. Has anyone had any issues using Ooma behind a Gargoyle router?

As well, since I would basically be buying it for its QOS only, I wouldn't want it for its wireless capabilities as I already have a wireless router that works well. My intention would just to have the gargoyle manage the PPPoE connection, DHCP, UPNP, and QOS. Is it able to perform all those functions with the wireless radios turned off?

Yes it can do this, however having two routers will complicate your llife. Also for qos to function the Gargoyle router must be the main router and you second router must plug into it.

There are no advantges of using a second router technically speaking.

The main reason for the second router is that it's simultaneous dual-band 802.11N, and a Time Capsule. It would be running in Bridge Mode behind the Gargoyle so there wouldn't be any Double NAT issues.

I was planning on buying one of the routers off the site, and neither of them are dual band. Stability is also top priority, and I figured that the routers sold on the site would likely be the most reliable. It would also allow me to financially support the project.

Although if anyone has good experience with a Gargoyle compatible simultaneous dual-band router that is very stable I'd certainly look into it.

Any thoughts?

Know this is a little old, but wanted to reply. My router - a WNDR 3700 - is running Attitude Adjustment RC1 (no Gargoyle unfortunately) with WIFI on. A Time Capsule is running elsewhere on my network in Bridge mode but WiFi on. My devices roam the wireless network as needed with no problems. If you're wired for this, definitely recommend it.
