DIR-601 success!

Post by colincmrn »

I managed to set up my D-Link DIR-601 as a repeater with Gargoyle 1.4.7 with relative ease. I was trying to use dd-wrt for this purpose but it absolutely killed the range of the router. It also would not let wireless clients connect.

Anyway, I am a happy camper :D . A big THANK YOU to the developers of Gargoyle!

Yeah the DIR-601 is a great little router.

If you possess any technical skills, the DIR-601 will GREATLY benefit
if you replace the antenna with a big 9dbi or even 12dbi antenna.

Your signal and range will improve dramatically!

I have been trying to setup my Dir601 as a repeater using dd.wrt v24 sp2, without any luck. can you detail the steps you used using gargoyle to have you router configured as a repeater?
