TL-WDR3600 Bugs Gargoyle v.1.5.7

Post by slan »

I was very disappointed from the stock firmware and flash it with the last gargoyle version.
All working good, but some small bugs:

1. By 2,4 Ghz the channels 12, 13 and 14 are missed
2. Channel 52 by 5 Ghz doesn't work, maybe anothers too, i have only tested channels 36, 44, 52 and 149
3. Restore Default Configuration see not working, after that i don't need change the password and the SSID name/WPA2-PSK password
4. When i format(swap and ext4) USB Stick Transcend 600 through Web interface, i can't mount. The options in USB Storage disappears. When i format(NTFS) under Windows, then work, but slow(CIFS access): 2,10Mbyte write and 4Mbyte read. I have format the usb stick with parted magic in ext4, is still slow: 2,48Mbyte write and 3,4Mbyte write; with ext2 4Mbyte write and 4,10Mbyte read.

Not a bug: there is not possible by AP+Client Dual Band Modus different passwords for 2,5 and 5 Ghz

I need channel 13, so i will waiting for future builds :D

You may have to compile your own builds to get the missing channels.

See this thread:

 Soylent Green Is People!
2x Asus RT-N16 = Asus 3.0.0.4.374.43 Merlin
2x Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH V1 A0D0 = Gargoyle 1.9.x / LEDE 17.01.x
2x Engenius - ESR900 Stock 1.4.0 / OpenWRT Trunk 49400

I have buying TL-WR3600 because have 5Ghz. With my older router TL-WR941ND and Gargoyle 1.5.4 work all channels. The speed with my NAS with older router through WiFi was not very quick: 5,2 - 9,8Mbyte(different in different hours) read and 2,5 - 5,7Mbyte write. The new one and 5 Ghz is a bit quickly, but not as planed(~20Mbyte read and ~14Mybte write; through gigabit lan 35Mbyte write and 40Mbyte read). So i will send back the unit to the seller and using tp-link.
