Accidentaly flashed factory.bin instead of sysupgrade.bin

Post by phsorx »

Hi!

Accidentaly flashed factory.bin instead of sysupgrade.bin into a tl-wr941nd-v3 router which was already running gargoyle.

How do I unbrick the router?

Thanks!

In my use, factory.bin seems the same as sysupgrad.bin, it shouldn't brick your router.. I have not worked our the differences between these bin files yet..

Look on openwrt.org for your specific model for ways to unbrick your router. In short, you need serial connection and tftp to reload the firmware.

PM me if you need to buy Gargoyle router in Australia/NZ, willing to pay me to help you on your Gargoyle configurations or build custom configured ROM with pre-installed app or try to fix your bricked router. Yes, I am looking for job/work.
