TP-Link 740N v4

Post by GavChap »

Is this supported at all by Gargoyle? I know it works with dd-wrt, but wanted to use my favorite firmware if possible!

Thanks

Gavin

TP-Link 740N v4 is supported by Gargoyle, at the download page, look under ar71xx.

PM me if you need to buy Gargoyle router in Australia/NZ, willing to pay me to help you on your Gargoyle configurations or build custom configured ROM with pre-installed app or try to fix your bricked router. Yes, I am looking for job/work.

Released versions of Gargoyle are built on OpenWRT backfire and as such do not support your router.

Work is ongoing on an Attitude Adjustment build of Gargoyle that will support your router but there is no announced release date for this.

In trying this, wireless bridge mode isn't working, it's disabled the LAN ports.

Hi GavChap,

Did you find a solution to your problem, of wireless birdge mode ?
I have the same router and I am using DD WRT on it, but the Bandwidth monitoring options are making a strong case for Gargoyle.
If all is ok then I might take the plunge.
Also is there a factory revert available for this router ? (just in case).

Thanks
