Hi
With 1.5.5 I have notice that gargoyle sometimes shows as using bandwidth on the Bandwidth Distribution Display page.
This has been up to 20%.
I do not use tor, openvpn, qos, etc.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Jon
Router using bandwidth

Re: Router using bandwidth
There are a lot of things the router may use bandwidth for (but it shouldn't be a huge, huge amount). First, time (NTP) synchronization uses bandwidth. Synchronization is done a bit more frequently in 1.5.5 than in previous versions, as a newer ntp client is being used. Second, if you're using dynamic dns service(s) the router needs to update this periodically, which will use bandwidth. Finally, if anyone logs in to the router via ssh/web from outside your local network (if you have the relevant ports opened up in the System/Access section), this will show as bandwidth being used by the router.
Naturally the QoS ACC controller, OpenVPN and Tor WILL use bandwidth too... but you say these are disabled, so that's probably not what you're seeing.
