5 Ghz down on WNDR3700v1

Post by indolering »

I installed Gargoyle 1.5.5 on a fresh WNDR3700v1 (I rolledback to Netgear firmware from DD-WRT) and now my 5 Ghz connection will not work.

I have tried rebooting the router and fiddling with the 5Ghz settings (name, channel, width) to no avail. Should I rollback to to an earlier 1.5.x or even 1.4.7? If so, can I just upload the firmware through the updater?

See this page

Fixed in OpenWRT TRUNK, but not currently working in Backfire
which is what Gargoyle is based on.

May have to wait for the fix until OpenWRT has a new stable release.

Try different wireless channel for 5GHz.
It may work on different one.

The fix for this was checked in 2 years ago, is there ANY hope of getting this fix in?

We could should start a gambling ring to try and predict the next stable version of backfire. You know, wisdom of the crowds and all that.

Oh, and I already tried using different channels: no joy :(
