Ubiquiti Power AP N

Post by scsnospam »

Has anyone tried gargoyle on a Ubiquiti Power AP N router? Or an Engenius ECB350 ?

I have need to set up a repeater AP, about 200 feet away from another router w/ internet, through some trees. These two seem to be the most powerful devices, with decent antennas. I don't want to do WDS repeating. The Engenius will provide this out of the box. The Ubiquiti device only does WDS repeating, hence the need for third party firmware. I know DD-WRT will support it.

thanks!

Ubiquiti Rocket M works fine at least it appears to be working fine I just flashed it earlier today, I don't know about the Power AP N. I am afraid to try on mine.

I would guess that one of the other ubiquiti builds might work ok on it but I am still not sure and haven't researched the differences in hardware enough to want to try to flash on my power ap n.

I do see that DD-wrt does have different builds for each ubiquiti device and has a build for the power ap N but that costs like 25 bucks or something like that for a license.

I am interested if gargoyle runs on Nanostation M900 loco units. There is just one Nanostation build and I am afraid to flash it on my M900 units. I hope someone that knows more about this than me can comment. But I think if you want to use a high-power device that the m2 rockets will be your best bet if you want to use gargoyle.
