Siemens Gigaset SX763

Post by sly »

Hi, since this router is supported in backfire : http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/start#gigaset
is it possibe to get gargoyle running on it, if yes how?

If not, what is the first step to it? I have the device with openwrt modded loader and dd-wrt in flash but would like to test gargoyle...
Tnx.

The reference you sent shows that your router is supported by OpenWRT trunk. Gargoyle is based on on OpenWRT backfire only.

Gargoyle is known not to work on OpenWRT trunk. It will be an unknown amount of time before it does.

There is no way to run Gargoyle on your router.

Hi again!

I have downloaded the gargoyle source and successfully compiled the image for my SX763...

Two thing are wrong:
.) In gateway mode when PPPoE is selected from web gui I cannot set the VPI/VCI parameters for my dsl connection namely the section under/from /etc/config/network:

Code: Select all

config atm-bridge 'atm'
        option unit '0'
        option vpi '1'
        option vci '32'
        option encaps 'llc'
        option payload 'bridged'
..) the tor is missing from webif? I have added it to gargoyle webif config (like openvpn too which is present in webif) and I can see it is compiled under packages folder as ipk file but not shown in webif...

Need help on this!
Tnx.
