Per previous threads we are [happily] jumping onto the gargoyle fray to inexpensively solve our 'piggy wiggy' issue (a few users hogging all the bandwidth).
I am also wondering how the current gargoyle user base deals with blocking adult content. I see from the specs that the OS does white lists and domain blocking. But how about blocking content categories, such as porn?
The other item on the wishlist is blocking video. Any form of video, from youtube to netflix.
Note: We are on Hughesnet satellite Internet, which means we can't use Open DNS.
thanx!

Re: porn blocking
As it is not possible for you to use openDNS, do I think that a software adult filter is the only solution for you.
I have no experience with these adult filters, but searching for "adult filter" gives some results on google.
There is also the possibility of an add-on in Firefox. If you simply search for "adult" in the add-on manager, do you get two filters, that you can install.

Re: porn blocking
Thanx for those replies. I am tinkering with getting open DNS to work with Hughesnet by disabling the "turbo page". Getting some good results so far.....
