That should give you some help.
If I remember, in XP, the VPN connection is based per adapter
unless you have some 3rd party software loaded like software
from Cisco, or AT&T or some other provider that initiates the
VPN tunnel to your workplace.
You may have to re-install or re-configure the VPN for your
wireless adapter instead.
