Re: Version 1.5.2 & 1.4.5
I installed 1.5.2 without a hitch. However when adding static ip address's sometimes when adding the cpu usage goes to 100% and the router reboots. wrt54gl

Re: Version 1.5.2 & 1.4.5
It happened again. Wifi has slowed down to a crawl again (0.54 Mbit/s down vs 11 after reboot). This is my syslog: http://pastie.org/3144945
Hope it can be of some help.

Make a post in troubleshooting and please add your wifi settings (and the router that it is installed on).UsernameTaken wrote:It happened again. Wifi has slowed down to a crawl again (0.54 Mbit/s down vs 11 after reboot). This is my syslog: http://pastie.org/3144945

Re: Version 1.5.2 & 1.4.5
UsernameTaken, I am watching your thread and hoping it fixes my router.
Some details on my router is I am using wireless-N, channel 1. Channel doesn't matter; problem remains.
I am using WPA-PSK2. channel width 20mhz, transmit power max. I don't think any of this matters. I could be wrong.
The only setting I found that seemed to fix things was to change from N+G+B to G+B. I changed versions a little while after going G, so I did not toggle in and out of N to be completely sure. Test results have to be repeatable.

Compared to yours, I am running N+G+B, 40MHz+, Max, WPA2-PSK.kamiller42 wrote:UsernameTaken, I am watching your thread and hoping it fixes my router.

I have no problem.

My wifi settings are nothings special: WPA2 psk, 20 mhz, plain AP. b+g+nMake a post in troubleshooting and please add your wifi settings
The router is a 1043nd v1.8.
I rather not reiterate everything I've said in my comments somewhere else. I feel they are in context here. But the mods should feel free to move my comments around as they please.

But this is the news forum, that is made for Eric to post when there is a new release.UsernameTaken wrote:My wifi settings are nothings special: WPA2 psk, 20 mhz, plain AP. b+g+nMake a post in troubleshooting and please add your wifi settings

Re: Version 1.5.2 & 1.4.5
That is the problem I'm having as well...slows to a crawl until reboot (which I set to do every night). I went back to 1.3.14 which I always had good luck with-same problem. I'm thinking that I need to do the DDWRT 30/30/30 resets from now on. I'm going to try and install one of these new versions. Hopefully that will be over!UsernameTaken wrote:It happened again. I guess I just have a rebellious streak when it comes to commenting on new releases of third party firmware. Also, what would be the point of allowing comments on news threads if commenting on the that particular news was frowned upon.
I've installed vanilla openwrt now, in order to determine if the problem is gargoyle specific or openwrt specific.

Perfect, looking forward to hear what the result will be.UsernameTaken wrote:...
