Re: porn blocking

Thanx for those replies. I am tinkering with getting open DNS to work with Hughesnet by disabling the "turbo page". Getting some good results so far.....

porn blocking

Per previous threads we are [happily] jumping onto the gargoyle fray to inexpensively solve our 'piggy wiggy' issue (a few users hogging all the bandwidth). I am also wondering how the current gargoyle user base deals with blocking adult content. I see from the specs that the OS does white lists and...

Re: Clarification needed on Gargoyle Home Router

But the trick is not all routers do "Transparent mode" so be careful The unit is a Eugenius ECB3500. But our environment is all Bullets other than that, so if need be I'll switch the access point out for a bullet. Thanx for the other info. It's very helpful to get an idea of if the config...

Clarification needed on Gargoyle Home Router

THANK YOU FOR THIS forum. Looking at the specs for the Gargoyle Home Router offered for sale on this site. Two questions: 1) The RF power is quoted at 27dB (60mw). Do they possibly mean dB m , not dB? If so, 27dBm converts to 500mw, does it not? 2) Can I utilize the features of the firmware such as ...

Re: can I cap on a daily rather than monthly basis?

no check supported routes with openwrt http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/start Thanx for that reply. That's good news. I was a bit confused on the openwrt.org link for finding a router that supports Gargoyle. It appears to me (an alternative firmware newbie) that Gargoyle is built on open wrt, and if my ...

can I cap on a daily rather than monthly basis?

Just wandered in after googling for a low-cost solution to track bandwidth usage on a per user basis. Forgive me if I ask anything that is easily obtainable knowledge. I read the feature overview only. 1) We have a motel and satellite Internet with a daily cap. I need to track guests by mac address ...
