Re: WR1043ND - no routing or packet forwarding LAN->WAN ?
I have WR841ND, which is the same chipset as in WR1043ND. Firmware Gargoyle 1.3.7 Wi-Fi (WDS+AP) is working pretty well, I was using it as AP (AP+WDS) for couple of weeks, with another router doing routing. Connected WR841ND to WAN interface today. Connection: PPPoE Router connects to provider, and ...

Re: Overview of the Signal Strength in Connected Wireless Hosts
I think it would be nice to have an overview of the signal strength of the connected wireless hosts in the Connected Hosts menu. Thus one would be able to reposition the router and observe how the signal to the hosts changes. ... I personally think it is a very useful thing to have. I got used to i...

Re: 1.3.7 bugs
... As you see - for some reason there is no Mac address for WAN interface! I am confident that I changed Mac address for WAN interface on Internet/WAN page, Use Custom MAC Address: is checked, and I have valid address entered there. What is going wrong? Here is /etc/config/network from running rout...

Re: 1.3.7 bugs
Decided to connect to Internet my WR841ND with Gargoyle 1.3.7 PPPoE connection is established. But connection speed is VERY SLOW. Looking at Status page - I see: WAN IP Address:95.220.95.190 WAN Netmask:255.255.255.255 WAN MAC Address: WAN Gateway IP:212.1.254.106 WAN DNS Server(s):192.168.1.3 invis...

UPnP - display open ports/host names using service
It would be very helpful to have possibility to display/list open ports on router opened via UPnP, and host names (IP address) using that service: Here is how it is implemented in Tomato: http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1414/5138629577_1bb2b72441_d.jpg It is very useful to check which hosts initiated...

Re: LAN Sharing
With Gargoyle all traffic which comes through the WAN connection is metered. All other traffic is not metered. There is no way to change this. Bandwidth Monitoring for LAN traffic, and for Wireless interface, is certainly needed. Using Gargoyle Router/AP as Internet Gateway is just one of usage sce...

Configuring 2nd WAN interface (Access to provider's LAN)
Hello, Does someone has experience configuring 2nd WAN interface (Access to provider's LAN), using Gargoyle/OpenWrt? Web interface doesn't have such option. Native firmware from TP-Link (tested WR1043ND) have such option. I just activate (set checkmark 2nd WAN interface: Enabled ) it in Web UI, ente...

Re: Version 1.3.7
I finally "upgraded" my TP-Link WR841ND v5 router from Access Point status (connected to another router) to Main Router . PPPoE connection is working fine, Bandwidth Monitoring for WAN port displays nice charts. And even AP+WDS mode is functional. :) Two moments: 1) UPnP BitTorrent client ...
