Re: Gargoyles bricks when power cycled. With vpn active.

I was using everything fine for a month or so. Then I configured vpn and router restarted. have not been able to access it again since. That does hurt my internet access, so put an old router back in place until I can try the wireshark tricks.

Re: Gargoyles bricks when power cycled. With vpn active.

Yes, similar. It powers up fine with lights active. However, I cannot login, ssh or telnet to the box. So I cannot do a logread. Pushing reset button on back seems to have no effect. Have not been able to do the firstboot process yet as I am worried about losing the ~30 IP configs in the DHCP settin...

Re: Gargoyles bricks when power cycled. With vpn active.

I just had this same issue with 1.9.2. Archer C7 v2.

Is there anyway to get back router without resetting and losing my DHCP configurations. I was just testing out the VPN but do not really need it.

Re: Version error trying to load 1.9 on Archer C7 v2

I followed these instructions and it has worked fine.

Only issue is I suffer the WAN IP issues as others. It will not auto-resolve when rebooting from GUI. have to unplug Arris Cable Modem.

Re: TP-Link WR1043N v5

I only see v1 and v2 for HW3 nothing for HW4. Am I missing something?

Which gargoyle version do you think is best for attempting this? do I need to hack the headers or something to make it work? Or maybe best to return and try older model?

Re: TP-Link WR1043N v5

I thought it would be the same, but when I tried to flash the v2 image on my v5 hardware, it would not work. The tplink UI said that this operation was not supported for remote management. "this operation not allowed for remote management" Do I have to ssh into the router and do it via cli?

TP-Link WR1043N v5

I recently bought a TP-Link WR1043 from Amazon so I could flash Gargoyle on it. I found out that what I bought was only WR1043N and not WR1043ND. It is HW v5. It appears this is unsupported and I now have an older router without Gargoyle. Is there a way to get this router to have gargoyle or do I ne...
