If you want granular control you will need to install software/app on the client device. I the past i used "antivirus bit defender" to do this job. I'm having the same problem with my kids. So far the blunt controls are working . I was hoping to be able to do it at the router level becaus...

I too ended up with a WR1043N v5 instead of the WR1043ND v3 I ordered.

I didn't want to set static IPs because I was hoping there was an easier way. On my cellular router you just click in the host name and type in a name. I have gone through and set static IPs for almost all of our devices now.
