I have the same problem with TP-link router on both 1.7.0 and 1.7.1. If anything it's worse on 1.7.1.
Wired networking doesn't have the problem.

OK, I feel stupid, because I didn't swap the ethernet cable from the WAN port to the output ports, so it works now.

I just got my new TP-Link AC-1750 Archer C7 v2. I installed gargoyle_1.7.0-ar71xx-generic-archer-c7-v2-squashfs-factory.bin from the stock firmware installation.
