You can manually populate
/etc/ethers
With MAC IP pairs
And
/etc/hosts
With IP Hostname pairs
/etc/ethers may not be required.
In 1.15, they would be stored in /etc/dhcp as normal static host entries.
You could then get the data from /tmp/dhcpv4configleases.gargoyle

Re: Router not connecting to wireless modem
How are you connecting to the MR600? And to be clear this was instead of the Huawei fibre modem? If this is a LAN (from MR600) to WAN (of Archer C7), the only real issue would be if the LAN subnets conflicted. WAN and LAN subnets must be different. Otherwise, much more detail required to try and hel...

Re: Wireless Bridge/Repeater
You can set the macaddr in the config /etc/config/network. The device is not supporting finding a stable mac address from its ROM. Just to be aware, this device does not appear to be successfully supported long term (there are issues in the latest versions). https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-user/base-...

Re: Experimental Gargoyle 1.15.x beta 20230124
A package (swconfig) was not being pulled in by the devices that needed it. This would have affected anything not migrated to the DSA switch arch, but only ath79 where this mistake happened. The router was actually working, but the LAN switch was not being set up correctly, hence no access. Many tha...

Bizarre. The theory is the image is oversized.
What about 09?
Over the weekend ill build another image with more cut out to shrink it and hopefully that works.

Re: Maximise Client mode Bandwidth
You're being a little optimistic sorry. That CPU would be having a hernia. You could claw back some performance with /etc/init.d/bwmon_gargoyle stop And make sure you don't have "enforce DHCP assignments" checked. At best, it is going to do 150mbps wifi. The real throughput is going to be ...
