WRT3200ACM v1 in 2025

Hello all, I have been using Gargoyle and loving it. My only issue is with all my kids streaming video, playing online games etc at the same time, I think it's causing my little GL.iNet AR150 to lock up and have to be reset sometimes. I've read through a lot of info on here and it seems like picking up/flashing an WRT3200 ACM wouldn't be a bad idea. Is this reasonable in 2025? Or is there a newer, better option for this?

The WRT3200ACM is still a powerful device, but it has wifi issues and the driver development was abandoned. It’s ok most of the time, but in certain use cases it can be a poor experience.

I would recommend a GLiNet Flint 2 (MT6000).
Plenty fast, modern wifi, and supported in the latest betas by Gargoyle
