Re: WiFi doest work after build image based on 23.05 by Lantis

The new interfaces are named that way, you can’t (shouldn’t) change them.
You can set the “ifname” on the wifi-iface section if you really want to…

If you have not set your country code the transmit power may be restricted.

Re: Does Gargoyle handle IPoE?

Most NBN RSPs support IPoE (DHCP) now, with no complex connection requirements.
If they enforce authentication then it may be more convoluted.

My understanding for leaptel is that it is straightforward.

Re: DIR-859 A2, how to go about flashing this?

The Uboot interface can be used if that’s what you are referring to?
Otherwise, your call. It should be low risk and if any issues it will be “soft” bricked and recoverable (with effort) most likely.

Flash factory.bin
Do not turn off router
Flash sysupgrade.bin

I would use the 1.15 beta from here

Re: Linksys 32x reflashed itself from Garogoyle 1.12 back to factory firmware

It’s likely a timing problem. You have to get the switch off point right.
Check out 1:45 in this video for a demonstration.

If you still can’t get it to work, then you are left with just flashing a new version.

Re: DNS

It looks like iOS may require DNS to be set manually when using manual IP address.

Re: DNS

Why are you manually entering static IPs on the iPhone itself? Control this from the router.

Re: Linksys 32x reflashed itself from Garogoyle 1.12 back to factory firmware

If you’ve only ever flashed 1.12 once and never flashed anything else, the stock firmware will still be on the secondary partition. The secondary partition loads in case of a failure to boot 3x in a row, which can be triggered by power outages or a nasty crash. You can trigger it to flip back to you...

Re: DNS

Is it possible you have more than 1 DNS server running on your network causing the iphones to misconfigure? What DNS are they detecting when they are in automatic mode? Have you made any other changes? Anything non-standard on the command line? Is force router DNS set on or off, and does it make a d...
