Re: Block HTTPS websites

It works, but doesn't work all the time.
Internet traffic is changing, and blocking using this method isn't going to be viable forever.

Make up your own mind.

Re: Limited download when QOS Download

I'd say it's a CPU bottleneck most likely.
There's no way your device can push 300mbps with QoS enabled.
Without it... Maybe? I'd have guessed closer to 200-250 but I don't have one.

Re: Limited download when QOS Download

What router, what internet speed and what QoS total download are you using?

Re: Quota for share on USB drive

It might be possible using BtrFS, but Gargoyle doesn't have it. I think support is available in OpenWrt in general for BtrFS.

Custom effort/job.

Re: TP Link Archer C60

Latest OEM firmware prevents installation via OEM firmware upgrade paths (tftp and WebUI).
From the wiki.

Not much you can do.
Find a way to downgrade to an earlier factory firmware, or find a new hole in the factory firmware that will let you in :)

Re: Repeater / 2nd AP / RelayD?

Yes.

No I've not compared the difference.
It probably results in simpler (or zero) firewall rules which may help performance, but no packets will hit the fw anyway.

Re: Archer c7 v2 5ghz issues

It's not about DFS.

The wifi driver for that device always reports a TX speed of 6mbps even though it is much higher in reality. It is a limitation of the driver.
If your device is performing ok, there's no need to do anything.

Glad you got it sorted, thanks for posting back!
I have a VERY limited understanding of vlan tagging.

Re: Restriction Question

Probably... But testing it would tell you for sure.
It's about the order the rules are processed in.

From memory, white list entries process first, so your idea has merit. Try it and see :)

Re: Gargoyle IPv6 Testing

You can try it if you like. Preserve settings should be ok.
The only change is updated Tor, and I've reworked ewget to understand IPv6. This is a stepping stone for DDNS supporting IPv6.
