there were no storms anytime near the failure. i did not mention that the light is on the router and when i reboot it the light blinks like it did the first time i plugged it in for a couple minutes and then turns solid like before.

i got the gargoyle router about a week ago. worked great and simple that is what i wanted. (i just need to know what device is using my allotment of data) but now it stopped working. i have satelite internet with dish. when the sat is pluged in to the router the lan light is off on my satelite modem...
