I haven't been able to replicate the ping staying constantly high. But definitely have been able to get it spiking once a minute or so. I think the spikes are caused by YouTube buffering since YouTube seems to load in fits and starts, instead of smoothly. I have no idea why! Thanks for you help thou...

If your WAN speed is as high as 3700kbps then you should use 3700kbps as your download speed Our line is not actually capped to a speed. They just give us the fastest that ADSL can offer. My PC is connected via RJ45.

I didn't know that was the default. I actually do get around 3200 kilobits down. However, the line does vary a bit. The fastest I have seen it go is 3760 kilobits, but it I'd say 3200 is more common.

(I am just using speedtest.net to gauge connection speed.)
