Improved Connection List
I have created an improved connection list display for Gargoyle. The new display has the following improvements over the stock one. 1) Entries are sorted by data used which leads to a more stable display. 2) Qos Marks for each connection are shown which helps in making sure your QoS classifications ...

Re: Suggestion: Time quotas
This is the function of a Hotspot. There are several good packages available for this including chillispot, wifidog and others. I use www.hotspotsystems.com on several of my DD-WRT routers. It works great. At my site each user has a certain amount of data they are allowed to transfer per month. The ...

Re: two mac addresses, same static IP?
Take your example the router is talking to the PC at 192.168.1.2. On the wire the MAC address is used by the hardware so your router must ask "Who has 192.168.1.2" and your PC responds with its MAC address. The router keeps this information in its ARP cache and directs all traffic destined...

Re: two mac addresses, same static IP?
There may be an issue immediately after you switch devices. Other devices on your network use their ARP tables to translate the IP address to the MAC address. They update these tables only periodically so before they refresh their tables there will be confusion as they continue to try and talk to th...

Re: WRT54GS v2 and Static IP Cable Modem
How did you determine that you router did not connect to the Internet? Are your client computers getting addresses via DHCP? You did not post a screen shot of your DHCP page. Post the result of an ipconfig on a computer connected to the LAN side of the router. Form this same computer ping the DNS se...

Re: Accessing DSL modem
I tired the suggestion of DoesItMatter without apparent success. Some research on the OpenWRT web site found this thread. https://forum.openwrt.org/viewtopic.php?id=18333 This approach worked for me so now the question is how to add this to the Gargoyle interface so that PPPoE users can access their...

Accessing DSL modem
My connection is through a DSL modem which is configured in bridge mode. My Gargoyle router then performs the PPPoE login function. All this works great. However, my DSL modem has a web interface which has some nifty information about the status of the DSL connection. So how can I access this interf...

Re: can gargoyle handle 2 adsl connections?
This is something not directly contemplated by Gargoyle. Gargolye is a user interface over OpenWRT (Linux) which does all the actually work of routing traffic. So what you described is possible by using the networking concepts of Linux and writing the appropriate configuration scripts to run on your...

Re: Feature Request, show DNS server
I loaded v1.11 and I see the DNS field but there is no data displayed.
Screen shot attached.
I have a PPPoE connection so I wonder if that could be related to this issue.

Feature Request, show DNS server
Am I missing something or is the WAN side DNS servers not displayed in the UI anywhere? I would think that this would appear on the status screen in the WAN section. Now there does not seem to be anyway to see what DNS servers where acquired from the ISP.
