Re: router fire wall
I will ask quite differently: :?: Want to stream over the Internet? or just over the local network? If you want to stream through the Internet, you must have a fixed public IP and do "port forwarding" or "DMZ" on Gargoyle: https://www.gargoyle-router.com/wiki/doku.php?id=port_for...

Re: router fire wall
In addition, do not keep the settings or restore the settings from the backup during the upgrade. v1.9.X against v1.12.0 are big differences.

Re: router fire wall
It's new Gargoyle firmware v1.12.0 (latest release).
For security and repair, we recommend upgrading to the latest version.
and if the problem still persists, we can discuss here and other procedures.

Re: IMQ@NAT kernel modul issue
Greetings also ...
I don't have such reports. When I searched the net, I found that this command was deleting kernel modules - I suppose it's harmless ( https://linux.die.net/man/8/rmmod ).

Re: gargolye v1.12 status overview, missing lan port connections speed
And (not that important but) gargolye v1.12 is installed with almost no plugins/packages, i also noticed there isn't free space on my WR1043ND v2 to install any packege (712KB free) It has been discussed many times here. Gargoyle 1.10 (OpenWrt 15.05 Chaos Calmer) vs. Gargoyle 1.12 (OpenWrt 18.06 LE...

uci set wireless.radio0.noscan=1 :!: Using this option does not comply with IEEE 802.11n-2009! Please do not violate established standards and laws! This setting does not affect stability for the better (rather the opposite). You may think it is going faster, but it is at the expense of stability i...

Re: WR-1043ND repiter WiFi
Yes, when set up as a repeater, the router acts as both a client and an AP.
Attention! if the connection between the AP (master) and the client (Gargoyle) is lost, then the Gargoyle AP (slave) stops transmitting - this behavior is correct from the repeater point of view and is not an error.

Re: WR-1043ND repiter WiFi
No cable is required to operate the Gargoyle router as a repeater, everything is done using the WiFi part. Only use the cable to set up, then it will no longer be needed. Everything is set via GUI: https://www.gargoyle-router.com/wiki/do ... e_repeater
