Re: Gargoyle-ispy 2013-February-09.7z
Setting noscan=1 hasn't made any difference to the wireless throughput or the stability. I've satisfied that I've tried all the options to get my two 1043NDs working together without any success, so I'm going to return them for a refund (thankyou UK distance selling regulations :) ). I'm going to bu...

Re: Gargoyle-ispy 2013-February-09.7z
Yeah, I just assumed your unit wasn't Atheros because you weren't able to create the file. I have a 1.7... Perhaps there's a different driver used? Take a look in /sys/kernel/debug/ieee80211/phy0 I have the ath9k directory there, and disable_ani is present. The furthest I can get down that tree is ...

Re: Gargoyle-ispy 2013-February-09.7z
Pretty sure my unit is Atheros based. I have a TL-WR1043ND. It's a v1.10. Not sure if that makes a difference. This is what I see when I login: ------------------------------------------------------------------ | _____ _ | | | __ \ | | | | | | \/ __ _ _ __ __ _ ___ _ _| | ___ | | | | __ / _` | '__/ ...

Re: Gargoyle-ispy 2013-February-09.7z
The current workaround is echo 1 >/sys/kernel/debug/ieee80211/phy0/ath9k/disable_ani I've added it to rc.local I'm seeing the same "Rate marked as an HT rate but passed status->rate_idx is not an MCS index" error, but if I try the disable_ani workaround I get this error: root@bridge:~# ec...

Re: Newbie needs TL-WR1043ND setup help
I strongly recommend not to use 1.5.9 with 1043nd I have too many problems to discuss in a single post. I suggest 1.5.6 1.5.6 is not an option on the v1.10 1043ND hardware. It will brick it: http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/tl-wr1043nd#supported.versions http://www.gargoyle-router.com/phpbb/view...

Re: Bricked 1043ND Help
Someone should update the 1043ND installation section of the wiki with this info. It's the v1.10 hardware that's the problem btw - the (old) 1.1 would be ok I think.

Re: Bricked 1043ND Help
Sorry, no, I haven't de-bricked a hard brick for several years.
The last time I did it I used a pin shorting trick on the WRT54G. I wouldn't recommend doing anything like that - it ended in tears

Re: Web interface session issue
It's fine if I use two different browsers (I tested with Firefox and IE). The problem still occurs when using two browser windows of the same type (i.e. two FF windows or two IE windows).
So I agree - it looks like there's a problem with the way the session cookies are constructed.

Web interface session issue
I have 1.5.9 installed on two v1.10 WR1043ND routers, one as my main router and one as a bridge/repeater. Everything's working ok so far, but I noticed something odd when administering both units simultaneously - I only seem to be be able to log in one unit at a time. If I have two tabs open, one fo...

Re: Bricked 1043ND Help
Just so you know, I now have 1.5.9 installed on two v1.10 1043nd's - one as my main router and the other as a bridge/repeater. I have three wired clients and three wireless, and I've had no problems so far. Not trying to gloat btw :) - just wanted to let you know for when you get yours back up and r...
