Hi All,
Quick question.
I have two different hardware routers (TP-Link & Netgrear), both on firmware 1.5.9
If I backup the setting from one, can I restore the settings to the other router?
Thanks

Re: WRT54GL v1.1 crash
It has now been running for 15 days without a problem.
I have turned off wireless and quota management.
That has been the only change, so maybe the combination of all the features killed the router and caused it to corrupt the files system.

Re: WRT54GL v1.1 crash
So far it has been running for a few days now without crashes.
I have disabled wireless, and quota's to reduce the load on the router. Hopefully it will remain stable.

Re: WRT54GL v1.1 crash
I can do that tonight, after I reset up the router again.mix wrote:Post the contents of dmesg here again now that the router is seemingly working correctly.
I will have to do the fisrtboot to clear everything, because it is unusable at the moment.

Re: WRT54GL v1.1 crash
You can try a downgrade but there does not seem to much changed in previous versions of this file. Last change over a year ago. Does not seem to be a memory problem but rather that your router's either net switch is not responding properly to configuration. I leaning towards a hardware problem on y...

Re: WRT54GL v1.1 crash
Is this the output of dmesg after the router locked up and crashed from the failsafe telnet mode? Yes I did a dmesg, after getting in using the clicking on the cisco button. It looks like I have to do a firstboot, and reset everything again. This is becoming painful exercise, I think I will downgra...

Re: WRT54GL v1.1 crash
Yeah I believe df -h will work. I am not 100% sure myself, but I believe you can basically assume that /dev/mtdblock3 that is mounted as /overlay is all the free space on your router, in terms of writeable filesystem space. Thanks, My overlay partition is currently at 41% Filesystem Size Used Avail...
