Re: Change backup interval
That seems to have done it. I had to remove the original gargoyle_firewall_util.sh entry from the crontab. /etc/crontabs/root after changes 0,1,11,21,31,41,51 * * * * /usr/bin/set_kernel_timezone >/dev/null 2>&1 0 * * * * /usr/bin/backup_quotas >/dev/null 2>&1 0 * * * * /tmp/bw_backup/do_bw_...

Change backup interval
Hi, I need to change bandwidth monitor and quota backup interval. I'm getting a lot of power cuts and it's screwing them both up. I want to change it from 4hrs to 1hr or 2 at the most. I've figured out how to change bandwidth monitor in /etc/init.d/bwmon_gargoyle echo "0 0,4,8,12,16,20 * * * $b...

Re: Netgear R8000
After a few tests, I did all my settings and connected the R8000 to my network with wireless turned off. So far it's running without any issues, the AP is even connected at 1Gbps which is a nice surprise. b53-srab-switch 18007000.ethernet-switch lan1: Link is Up - 1Gbps/Full - flow control rx/tx I g...

Re: Netgear R8000
I decided to do another build for something to do so I did a "lite" version. Only the minimum packages needed plus xeye theme, webshell and logread. The wireless issues are still there but I figure the MR3420v5 will no longer be supported soon and I can run the R8000 the same, with wireles...

Re: Netgear R8000
As Lantis said, it is what it is. If I could get wireless working at 2.4GHz/dual channel 40MHz/300Mb/s and the switch at Gigabit I would be happy enough. I don't think that will happen though, and will keep using the MR3420.
Thanks anyway.

Re: Netgear R8000
Snapshot is even worse, I keep getting "can't connect to network" and if I can manage to get connected to 2.4GHz N it doesn't give me an IP address. I then flashed current OpenWRT and wireless was working better but same issues as previous post. Here is dmesg from current which is basicall...

Re: Netgear R8000
I have put it back to stock firmware but I can flash back and forth from either GUI without any issues so I will give it a try.

Re: Netgear R8000
Well, it's just not going to work properly and OpenWRT is no different so it's not a Gargoyle issue. Dmesg shows brcmfmac-firmware-43602a1-pcie errors and the switch only does 100Mb/s. Even though gargoyle only gives G as an option I'm connected at 144Mb/s, same with OpenWRT although it says N. I wa...

Re: Netgear R8000
My inexperience got the better of me. I found the squashfs.chk in /custom-src/bin... I made sure I could flash stock firmware from cmd with nmrpflash which after a few tries was successful. Flashed the gargoyle image through the netgear gui and have a running gargoyle system. There are a few bugs th...
