Archer c7 v2 5ghz issues
Using the latest stable 1.12 on an archer c7 v2 and the issue I am running into is that the 5ghz devices connected on it within about 5 min all have a connection speed of 6 in the stats for the wireless clients and they never seem to ramp back up. I have 4 devices that are connected on 5ghz and all ...

Re: Wireguard on Gargoyle
Have been re-evaluating vpn and have 2 questions...
1) Is there an easy to use vpn addin/module that utilizes the gui for any version of 1.1x.x (looking closely at nordvpn)
2) Am I chasing windmills as I have an archer c2, is the cpu to weak to get a reasonable result on vpn even if the option exists

Re: Wireguard on Gargoyle
Is there a reason on the main downloads there is not even an entry for the 1.1x or is that what you were saying its almost ready and when it is it will appear there?

Re: Wireguard on Gargoyle
I appreciate the quick reply. Since 1.11x is not even listed on the main downloads page I am assuming we are a LONG ways off from a stable version. I am just not fluent enough in either router stuff's or linux to even think about taking on something thats not on the stable branch. Do you think we wi...

Wireguard on Gargoyle
Not well versed on router or openwrt stuff but wanting to install azire vpn service using wireguard protocol on my gargayle router (TL-Archer C7 v2 if it matters).
Has anyone done this successfully? If so is it something a noob could do? Simple step by step would likely be needed.

Re: Harden Gargoyle against new WPA2 Exploit Krack?
At this stage I expect there will be no backported patch. Note that all development work happens on the “experimental” branch and we get bugs ironed out pretty quickly. For example, the worst bug I can remember from the 1.9.x branch was when you couldn’t upgrade via the GUI (still available by CLI)...

Re: Harden Gargoyle against new WPA2 Exploit Krack?
Right now it is 1.9.x I'm not sure what Eric's plans are? My guess is he will just put 1.8.3 on 1.9.x (just because we are at the end of the cycle anyway) The next big jump is to LEDE which Eric has started.....which will be many, many months before that will be stable Ok thanks, I appreciate it. D...

Re: Harden Gargoyle against new WPA2 Exploit Krack?
This may be a stupid question, I see the new build to patch KRACK but I do not want to move to 1.9x as its still not as stable as 181. Will there be a KRACK patch for 181? don't be fooled At this development stage 1.9.x is the most stable gargoyle firmware ever. I wouldn't be surprised if 1.9.x is ...
