Being a coder, would my better route to port gargoyle to dd-wrt as it is supported on the R7000?

Folks, it's time for me to upgrade my router...
I'd really like to run gargoyle but can't find any hint from here or openwrt: any chance TPLINK's Archer C5400 will support it?
