I don't think we have any evidence, but if I had to guess, yes.

how to re-flash lantis image back on this router after screwing up the configuration and no longer able to ssh or https back into the router?

The reset button doesn't seem to do anything on this router with the lantis image on it.

Failsafe reset is what you need

Then “firstboot -y”

Neither the reset or restart button are doing anything, no matter how long i hold them, or press them rapidly - it just powers on with slow blink, then a steady power light, then the lan connectivity light comes on, then the internet light comes on. It does not assign an IP to the computer. The computer is in a constant state of attempting to connect to the network.

I was attempting to make the WRT1900ACS a wireless bridge to the WRT1900ACv2 that I already had setup. After setting it to bridge mode, I tried testing it with my phone, and it's not ever given any device an IP since, and I tried that link while troubleshooting last night without any luck, as well as holding the reset button for 10+ seconds (as per linksys factory reset instructions) - but it seems non-responsive to the reset button.

I’ll try to reset mine and see if it works.

You could try a triple failed boot to get it into the backup partition?

EDIT:
It does not. Seems to work fine on LEDE. Something must have changed.

triple failed boot didn't work either - any other suggestions? Im not sure what LEDE is. Do I have a brand new bricked router?

edit: I'm not exactly sure, but it appears there might be a way to ssh into it through the usb/esata port?? Serial Firmware Flash heading implies that...

edit2: would connecting via the esata ports between the pc and router constitute a serial connection? then i could set pc ip to 192.168.1.2:24 and ssh into the router? i'll buy an esata cable if it'll work

Persevere with the failed boot method. It can take a couple goes. I’ve used it a dozen times this weekend.
I doubt it is fully bricked.

No you can’t serial through the routers USB port. Need to be connected to the serial headers on the router (soldered on)

It worked when you wait for the power led to come back on again after all the lights flash on then off. powered it off and back on 4x and it went to failsafe (back to linksys firmware) - reflashed without a hitch and going to make sure i configure it as a wireless bridge properly this time.. heh

thanks
