Had roommate have the password, (don't ask why), and now he lost it. So in order for me to re-enable QoS I had configured or tweak it, I need to factory reset? Or can I do this by going into fail safe and then running the passwd?
I want to know if I understand this with my TP-WDR3600
1. Reboot Router.
2. Press the WPS/Reset button rapidly until I see status light on the front of the unit blinking rapidly to indicate device is in failsafe
3. Connect laptop to unit via ethernet & telnet in
4. Once in telnet run following commands:
a) passwd
That should work? Or do I need to use
b) Mount_root then type passwd?

Solved.
For posterity and anyone on the google archives of the interwebs, it's as I outlined. As soon as I telnetted in, had to mount_root, then passwd, then reboot, then I'm in after testing online.
