WNDR3800 Firmware Installation
Posted: Mon Mar 07, 2016 7:07 pm
Hi all,
First I'd like to apologize if this has already been answered/solved elsewhere.
I'm having troubles installing "gargoyle_1.6.1-ar71xx-generic-wndr3800-squashfs-factory.img" on my new Netgear WNDR3800. I have tried similar files such as "gargoyle_1.6.1-ar71xx-generic-wndr3700v2-squashfs-factory.img", "gargoyle_1.6.1-ar71xx-generic-wndr3700-squashfs-factory.img", and "gargoyle_1.6.1-ar71xx-generic-wndrmacv2-squashfs-factory.img".
Every time I try to upgrade my firmware, I am presented with the following (again my apologies, I can't get my screenshot to attach): It is the Netgear genie screen; the Firmware Upgrade subheader which states: Current Version: 1.0.0.57CH, Uploaded Version: OpenWrt.unknown; then an additional dialog box that states:
"192.168.1.1 says:
Firmware upgrade failed. Please check your file.
(Check box) Prevent this page from creating additional dialogs."
I honestly have no clue what to do, as I was just following the instructions presented on "http://raisedbyturtles.org/limiting-dai ... ome-router". I am just trying to set up a bandwidth quota, as my family and I chew through the 10 GB allotment we get from HughesNet.
Thank you for your help!
