TP-Link Archer C7 v2

Post by a_lunatic »

Set up is TP-Link TD-W8960N full bridge mode > TP-Link Archer C7 v2

Installed 1.9.0 yesterday and got it running good so far but still need to change some settings.

Two small issues so far

1. On the Status overview page the WAN (PPPoE) Uptime seems to randomly reset to 0 but looking at my ISP toolbox it doesn't show any disconnections and sync has been going for +50 days.

2. I fixed the email plugin not sending by changing the permissions on the email file and the tables spacing but for some reason it isn't remembering the tick box for Recently Visited Sites all other boxes show the tick but that one so it should be a easy fix.

All so with the WiFi settings are there any changes that need to be done under the hood ?

To achieve wireless AC speeds? Yes.

You can manually change your config to one of VHT80, or update your code to match the code in the pull request located here:
https://github.com/ericpaulbishop/gargoyle/pull/396
https://lantisproject.com/downloads/gargoylebuilds for the latest releases
Please be respectful when posting. I do this in my free time on a volunteer basis.

Well looks like I will have to roll back to factory firmware as it seems the internet disconnects randomly.
It has had 22 disconnections since using Gargoyle & about 6 where from me disconnecting it and on the TP-Link firmware it was last connected for 39 days, 6 hours, 37 minutes before loading Gargoyle on to it.

All so sometimes when logging into the router the WAN (PPPoE) Uptime resets and every time I change the email settings it reset too.

 I like to have a stable connection better that having issues like these.
