Bandwidth monitoring with wifi repeater?

So I'm looking to get a new router (not sure what brand yet) and use my old one, a WNDR3700v3, as a wireless repeater. I can set it up with ddwrt or openwrt, though I also see that there is a brcm47xx version of gargoyle available.

I have a few questions before I proceed with anything

1. Will the brcm47xx version of gargoyle (http://www.gargoyle-router.com/download ... uashfs.trx) with my WNDR3700v3?

2. If I have to use ddwrt or openwrt, and I set my WNDR3700v3 as the wireless repeater, will the bandwidth monitoring on Gargoyle work with those?

3. What router would you all suggest to get as my primary gargoyle router?

The bandidth monitoring only operates on the Gargoyle WAN interface - so I suspect not

I am pretty happy with my TL-WDR3600. However, if you have a really high capacity connection then others have reported a need for more CPU

Kind of wish I had a backup router to use in the meantime and try that generic broadcom build.

And how much is high capacity? I'm looking to be running a 40D/10U connection soon while streaming/uploading a lot, is that too much?

40/10 should be fine even with all bandwidth monitoring features enabled.

Hi my wdr3600 is ok with 50 down and 10 up. I have use openwrt and ddwrt as repeters they both work with Gargoyle as the ap.
