[1.8.0] Able to SSH router even with SSH disabled. Bug?

I have disabled SSH access but I'm still able to log in and perform tasks on the device with no issues. As an example I was able to enable channel 12 and 13 via SSH despite access being disabled.

Is this happening because I'm accessing it via local network? Does the 'SSH Access' menu option only apply to remote (external) connections?

Using latest 1.8.0 build on a D-Link 505 rev A2. Default password has been changed.

Do you think this is the case with 1.6.2 as well?

No idea, never used 1.6.2.

So is this a bug or expected behaviour when SSH'ing from the local network?

Doesn't that feature only disable from the WAN side and not the LAN
