Problem installing USB Storage Plugin on 1.6.2

I'm trying to install the USB Storage Plugin on 1.6.2 on a wr703n with 16MB flash.

It keeps failing. Either from a MD5sum mismatch or from something like this:

and the Storage plug-in is installed by default in the standard install

well the wdr3600 has 8mb flash by default so it can fit a lot more stuff in.

the wr703n is normally 4mb flash. I just have one with 16mb, so I have to download the normal one and then install all the packages.
I'm just not sure why the usb storage one keeps failing. It's on a stable gargoyle release too, and it doesn't seem like anybody else had this problem.

Well I solved the problem.

I opened up a instance of winscp and and then via putty started an installation of the usb storage plugin.
I kept refrehsing /lib/modules/3.3.8/ directory for the sierra.ko file. I deleted it as soon as I saw it. The installation continued without that error.

well that is an innovative solution! no idea what it means though. Hopefully one of the developers will look in.

1.6.2 is EOL (unless security bug, maybe)

try 1.7.x
