upgrading firmware with beta4
Hi guys. First off I want to say that I love your firmware, I have had 0 issues with it but I want to just try some other firmwares out like Tomato. I have a WRT54G V2 and when I use the upgrade firmware feature in gargoyle the firmware never upgrades on my router. When I reboot it after 10 min it just reloads the gargoyle firmware. Is this still a bug or am I doing something wrong? I just downloaded the new firmware that I want to use (.bin) file and select it in the browse window and hit upgrade and it never upgrades. Is this something I am doing wrong? Please help. Thanks
Re: upgrading firmware with beta4
You need to use a .trx file instead of a .bin file to do the upgrade.
However... believe it or not, this is an issue I fixed in the bleeding-edge firmware just yesterday. If you are using the bleeding edge image (downloaded in the past 12 hours) you should be able to use either a .bin or a .trx file to upgrade. If you're using beta4 you'll have to use a .trx (or alternatively install the bleeding edge .trx, and then use the upgrade facility on that to flash the .bin file).
